Our Approach
From Individual To Community
India is no stranger to the culture of helping others. However, a lot of this support is given individually, spontaneously, and most times infrequently. Despite its demands, India’s social and development goals remain largely underserved. We are already way behind in meeting our funding requirements of even five of the Sustainable Development Goals, by 2030. The impact of this gap will be felt by the marginalized and at-risk communities even harder in the years to come. The need for social support is required in both rural and urban India. And although the nature of support may differ, both are equally important.
The habit of Giving can only thrive in an environment that fosters it. When we socially connect; we engage, we converse, we involve ourselves. Our social connections are a powerful engagement tool to harness for social good. Ek Ka Josh is about creating a social community for Giving. A place that engages and encourages it. And ONE that connects an individual’s desire to help with an NGO’s need for support.
By creating a dynamic digital space that empowers ONE individual to connect with ONE or multiple NGOs and causes they want to support. The app-based platform will be designed to create a social community with Giving at its core. We keep transparency and simplicity at the heart of our community ecosystem. Our Individual Givers can engage in ONE or more than ONE cause for continuous support. Smaller and regular contributions will be encouraged. Our Givers can also choose their contributions, when they would like to make them, and keep track of the project progress. We will share news and updates about the project with our Givers, so that they can see the impact of their contribution for themselves. We look at this as social investing.
